Produce a detailed project proposal for presentation both
on paper/CD and in a live pitch. Students are required to
research ideas and develop a full proposal for a new media
narrative by the end of the module. This should include the
following parts: idea concept/treatment, audience research,
discussion of relevant work in the field
(artists/writers/directors), interaction diagram, samples
of writing or scenes using multimedia software (animations,
Quicktime movie files, etc) presented on CD-ROM.
In the 2000 - 2500 word seminar paper, students will be
analysing one key aspect of new media narratives or one
particular narrative relevant to their idea concept. This
will help students to contextualise their practice in
relation to narrative structures. The paper will form the
theoretical core of the project proposal submitted at the
end of the module.
