AIM:
To engage young people at risk of exclusion at KS3/4 with creativity and raise their self-esteem through the activity and outcome
To engage this group with the Sydney Gardens and its history
To encourage them to collaborate on an activity producing a measurable creative outcome
To raise the profile of the Holburne Museum within the local community

OUTLINE:
2 Four-week activity August 3rd – 28th, creating, delivering and evaluating a digital project in the Sydney Gardens. Audio and visual technology using digital photography and GPS to interpret the Gardens, possibly also using web and mobile phone technology for audience engagement.
TIMING:
1 Pilot project funded by Mentoring Plus May 26 – 29 exploring the use
of mobile digital technology in the Sydney Gardens.
2 Four-week activity August 3rd – 28th.
BUDGET:
Ross’s time: 1 week in May, and if all goes well – a week in August
Materials:
screen for hoardings and set-up,
digital kit, some to be possibly lent by HP (Ross pursuing this).
We can use my cameras and laptops I am sure – but the laptops will need to be updated to the latest OS and microsoft windows in order to run Mscape software – I shall cost this asap and send a begging letter to Apple...
