We are in the process of regeneration at Sidcot School.
Having taught from a porta-cabin for the last dozen years a
£4m creative arts building is currently on the build. As
part of the fund raising for this I have created a
promotional website. I include a link to it here as part of
assignment five as it is using several of the 'drag and
drop' software technologies that I have been discovering
exploring and exploiting this term.

The authorities asking me to do this work asked for an
interactive CD rom - I produced a short film this time last
year containing much of this content that could be screened
at the various fund raising receptions that were staged. My
feeling with any presentation on CD rom, even if it is
something chosen, is that it is much more of an effort to
view than that that can be put across with a few clicks of
the mouse. It would be interesting to see how quickly a
sense of this website can be achieved without having to go
though all the tedious detail. Even a Flash introduction
can be too much. Instant gratification, we need to grasp
what something is about in the first few seconds, to be
drawn in, or we move on to the next offering.
