The connections that I am forging with the Holburne Museum
in Bath might make a possible project for the 'Developing
Practice' module that I shall be doing this time next year.
My connection with the Holburne started in the autumn when
I took a group of students on a day of life drawing hosted
by their education department. The day itself was a great
success, and set me to thinking that the Holburne and it's
gardens would make a fantastic environment for a mediascape
project.
I returned to the museum in March with a mini bus full of
year 9 students, to record the galleries photographically
just before the museum closed for major refurbishment and
extension.
I returned again in April for another day of photography,
this time in the gardens, on a day of dark storm clouds and
bright sun, a perfect day for photography.
On both of these days we were treated to a lecture and
instruction from a visiting professional photographer. The
photographic results of the second session were
spectacular, I have created a gallery of the best with a
link from the home page of my departmental web site
The pervasive media project that I have in mind is outlined
