This is my recreation of the animation that the students produced, with the story scrolling down the side. I am very interested both in the ideas of Lev Manovich in his book 'The Language of New Media', especially what he terms 'special montage'. While creating the animation above, letter by letter, I was also keenly aware of the lecture given by Chris Webster, and his distinction between the 'constructed time' of the animation as opposed to the 'recorded time' of video or film.
